One Month From Today!!!

Yeah!! One month from today our little boy will be here!!! I am SO excited! Unless he decides to make his grand appearance early, it will be on December 21st! My C-Section is scheduled for 7:30 a.m., so he will be here early in the morning! Ava is so excited. All she talks about is her brother and all of the different things that she wants to teach him. It is very cute! We pretty much have everything ready at the house for his arrival. I was fortunate enough to have two baby showers. Everyone set me up with a lot of boy baby clothes! It was fun getting boy things! We also got our cool Joovy Caboose tandem stroller that I really wanted! Ava will have the pleasure of riding in the back as little Noah strolls in the front! As of my 32 weeks ultrasound he weighed almost 6 pounds already. I am expecting him to weigh just as much as Ava did, if not more! I am having my last ultrasound at 37 weeks. The doctor just said that I must make big babies. There is not special reason that they are so big! I am not diabetic or anything like that. They want to check his weight at 37 weeks, so we will see!! I am not carrying extra amniotic fluid this time either, so that has been nice. I did have a scare at work last Monday afternoon with some contractions. I called my doctor and she recommended going straight to labor and delivery. The contractions ended up being every 2-4 minutes, but I was not dilating and my cervix was still hard. My doctor was not too concerned. They gave me some medication to stop them and then I was sent home. It was quite a nerve racking experience. I never experience any labor pains with Ava, so I new what I was feeling did not feel quite right. Hopefully this little guy will hold up to at least December 5th! I will be 37 weeks then! I will keep everyone updated!! He will be here soon!!!!!!!

Kemah

A couple of weekends ago we took a trip out to Kemah! We went with my sister in law Lisa, brother in law Cecil, nieces Kacei and Madison. We also went with Madison's cousin Evan and Kacei's friends. Kacei wanted to go there to celebrate her 17th birthday, so she invited some of her friends. Ava LOVED Kemah! We went last on exactly the same weekend, but she did not remember. She is such a big girl now that she was able to ride the rides with her cousin Madison! They had a blast together!!! Between great food, rides, snow cones and the splash pad, she did not want to leave! We will definitely have to go back when brother gets here! So nice to have a fun place to go that is so close to home!

San Diego Family

One summer ago we took a family vacation to visit my husbands cousin Rick, wife Lupe and daughter Korina! We had a wonderful time! We are lucky enough to have them here in Houston until next Thursday visiting! Rick is in the military and will be heading to Afganhistan in two weeks. This will be his third 7 month trip out of the country! We pray that he has a safe return! We had a nice Hibachi dinner with him and the family last night! Ava missed her cousin Korina!

Almost there!!!

I am here!! I know that it has been forever since I have posted a post, but I am back! Ever since I have gone back to school, I have been SO busy! I can't believe that it is almost October!!! I feel like the first day of school was yesterday! This year is flying by! Well a lot of you have asked to see how nicely baby Noah is growing and believe me he IS growing!!! We are wondering if he will give Ava competition at his birth weight! Since she weighed 10 lbs. 4oz. and was 21.25 inches long, we will see if her brother will surpass her size! Pray he does NOT!! They say that every baby gets bigger, but I am praying he will be 9 lbs. or less!! I passed the gestational diabetes test and I can continue on my Pop tart cravings! Yeah for me! At my last doctors appointment, my doctor said that she will probably deliver him on Dec. 17th or 18th!! So that only leaves 11 weeks and 6 days to go! Yeah! I am starting to get uncomfortable and the heartburn has really started to kick in. Luckily my blood pressure and everything else has been great! Yeah! Luckily so far this has been a wonderful pregnancy! I hope it continues! My sweet friend has offered to throw me a baby shower in November so I can get some boy clothes! I am very excited, it should be fun! I have posted some pics of me for your viewing pleasure! Enjoy!!

Going to the Dells!

This past week Joe, Ava and I went on another family vacation! I have to say that family vacations are the best! It is amazing and exciting to see all of the new things that we have experienced this summer that excite Ava! Everything is a first for her and she has had a blast! Our trip started out driving to Indiana! That was a long 17 hours and unfortunately the last half hour ended with a flat tire on the interstate! Luckily my man knows how to change a tire, so he fixed us up in a jiffy! Also we were very lucky because it was midnight and we were under a lighted section of the interstate and it was 65 degrees, so it felt good outside. We were also lucky because we had purchased road hazard insurance on our brand new tires, so we were able to get a new tire on the van without any problems! Then that night we spent the night at my parents house and then headed over the Wisconsin Dells in the morning. That was another 6 1/2 drive! Ava was a trooper with all of the driving that we did do! I was very, very proud of her! We are very lucky, Ava is a very well behaved little girl! I sure hope Noah is the same way :)!! If you don't know what the Dells are, it is a city in Wisconsin that has a strip full of different resorts and each resort has a water park. It is a very popular vacation spot for northerners to go in the winter time because a lot of the resorts also have indoor water parks. We stayed at a resort called Kalahari. It was very cool! It has an indoor and an outdoor water park, carousel, Ferris wheel, putt putt course, movie theatre, game room, and go-carts! It had so much to offer that we barely had to leave the resort! We went on vacation with my parents and my brother Jason, his wife Megan and my niece Claire and my twin nephews Drew and Nick. It was so nice for us all to spend some quality time together. The cousins had a blast together!! While we were there we also went on a Duck Boat tour! It was fun, the boat travels on land and on water. We also saw a water ski show! The kids all had so much fun and so did the adults! We will definitely have to go back again! On our way back to Indiana, we made a stop in Chicago to visit my good friend from high school, Erin. We got to visit with her husband Jay and see their new adorable baby boy Jack! It was so great to see them and baby Jack!! I wished that we lived closer! Then we headed home and got rested for the long journey home! Joe drove the whole way home and was a trooper about it! He again has earned the "Father of the Year" title!! We had a wonderful vacation!!!

Gymnastics Fun!

This past Monday was Ava's first day of gymnastics at the "big" gymnastics place! She had been taking a Gymnastics class at her daycare all last year every Tuesday. Ava loved going and always talked about what different things she learned with Coach Adam. After teaching in Cypress this past school year I met a friend that recommended Cypress Gymnastics Academy. A lot of students in my own class attended different classes there, so I decided to drop the gymnastics at Ava's daycare and sign her up at the big kids place. Her first trial class was this past Monday and she will start full time on Sept. 1st! She was very excited and loved it!!
